A friend of mine had the regular Verizon plan with 3GB and he was paying $100 a month. Before his contract ended I told him about Verizon prepaid and now he switched to the $45 plan with 3GB. He is saving more than double of what he was paying with the same features.

You do not have to pay $5 for safe mode.

Does the prepaid offer 10 gig and family plans? I currently have 10 and 4 members on my plan.

2:30 Or just do things like Apple iPhone upgrade program or iPhone payments or Samsung monthly payments.

How much is the total monthly bill after taxes for the fifty dollar prepaid Verizon plan? I know it varies per state. Just looking for an estimate.

Does the go unlimited plan charge an access fee?

This is only for individuals right? I have a family plan with 4 people PLUS 10 gigs of data. So is there a comparable plan on prepaid? I have 5 X the data that you talk about in the plan and also 3 other people.

Do they allow Wi-Fi calling on the Prepaid plan? Solid video, subscribing.

there is a difference in the coverage, verizon prepay does not include roaming agreements, so the coverage is the same on all Verizon towers but there are some areas where postpay customers can roam (at no cost) and prepay will not work. but you are right, prepay with Verizon is a great deal for single line users

The only other difference is that Prepaid Services have lower priority in the network vs post paid. If you're in a crowded area or live in a bigger city, this may be an issue, otherwise prepaid is the better option.

If you can afford it, full retail is ALWAYS the better way to go.

Stenson, in areas that are dark red colored on the coverage map like Alaska and Puerto Rico are considered to be Roaming and if you make or receive calls to and from those areas, it comes off your balance only if you have a balance and again, its roaming. If you have no balance, it will say that you do not have a sufficient balance to make this call.

Pretty sure you also don't get warranty claims processed through the carrier for the first year free of charge with the prepaid service, all claims would have to be filed through the manufacturer. On most android manufacturers you have to mail the device in for repair and if repair fails, replacement.

Safety Mode is free in the New Verizon Plan and there is a Single Line plan now for individuals and supports employer discounts, so definitely a much better deal for a single line on the network. That is of course if you really just can’t purchase a phone upfront.

my personal experience has been that Verizon out of all the major carriers is the most reliable despite what Sprint says which here they are horrible. AT&T and T-Mobile are good but I think Verizon is better reliability and better signal strength.

We have four phones and to him devices hooked up with Verizon can we get a great discount there. Our monthly bill actually end up being cheaper when we added the hum because it went into another category of the multi device. But yes it sounds like if you are just one individual and can't get anyone else on your plan, it would be a prepaid. What I used to do in college was to go together with three of my friends on the same plan and we all put our share of the bill in a drawer the money was due so that we knew you would be paid.

I wish people would do more research then just what they see the prepaid plans have more data BUT in high in areas they receive 2nd tier signals from the towers when postpaid customers are in the same area so unless you are in the country or a small city your speeds will be 3g

I use Verizon prepaid and it's pretty good only thing I don't like is the roaming and you can't make any phone calls or go on the internet if your in a roaming area

Hi, I went yesterday to Best buy to get a new phone with the deal of $400 gift card as they advertised  and at the end they told me that my plan with sprint will go up $20 per month, I ended up with nothing. Any suggestions?

Stetson, check out mint SIM. You buy your plan in bulk by 3, 6, 12 months and the monthly cost is very cheap.

We got at&t. I, being a cellphone nerd, was able to combine deals and we got 3 phones for free (2ip7's, 1s7) and we pay $240 a mo for unlimited data because of that. AT&T's unlimited data is beautiful, barely any throttling, used 70 gigs last month and can get 60 down 16 up in the basement of my house. I'm so glad we switched from sprint, barely could get one bar of LTE honestly everywhere i went. but At&T has drop call issues. Still worth it for the speeds we get.
