The Thought Process Behind Wellstring And Stamp

I've been having a lot of fun with Stamp and Wellstring after the recent 9.3 buff, so I figure I'd show a bit of what I learned since I think this weapon is very underrated right now.

Gear explanation:
Ink saver main: 1 extra charge
Last ditch effort: Broken ink efficiency for main and sub
Special power up: Extra half second duration
Charge up: More hammer and special is easy to use for an ink tank refil
Swim speed: Heavyweight weapon and also helps with Stamp
Object shredder: Needed to consistently break wall and crab but also helps with other objects and even hammer damage such as 1 shotting crab with the rush mode.
Everything else is standard utility subs.

PSA: Aiming with Wellstringer's lowest dot on verticals gives EVERY charge level a one shot range, even tap shots. Spacing is roughly the distance when the lowest bolt would start its falloff arc.
*this shortcut only works on targets at your height or below you, but it does work around cover if you aim/space as if the wall isn't there.

Hammer buff is so nice to have. The normal mode of the hammer has been so... unreliable/situational for so long its cool to see the throw being good!

As someone who using vWell since release, this is exactly what I'm thinking most of the time too. I love how versatile Well is, especially with the stamp/autobomb combo. Autobomb is a great location device and deterrent for sticky situations, Stamp is Stamp. I do need to be more mindful of where I am compared to my teammates as I find myself in awkward places I can't get out of. I tend to run Run Speed along with swim speed, helps with mobility while charging shots and I find that to be more beneficial for how I play. Overall great vid! I'd love to see more of this style for some other weapons

Fun tip for hammer throwing: It has a ton of windup but if you hold it down it will release very quickly when you release. Can be good for targeted mindgaming.

I'd say V Wellstring was always the better kit, mainly because of the Autobomb (and partially because Stamp is one of my favorite specials). A main of sub power pushes the throwing range to about Wellstring's own, which is great for setting up traps, especially for slower weapons/backlines.

I also run double Autobombs instead of Main saver, which is pretty fun for me.

ive been playing vanilla wellstring over custom almost exclusively since it came out I always just been super fun

Thanks! Also they’ve gotten so creative with the weapons that splat 4 is probably gonna have chairs and the bottom metal but of the chair u shoot a big gush from, I mean that’s just my opinion, make up weapons chain ⛓️‍💥
