Here is my problem with Fearless Halberdier. ITS NOT A HALBERD. If you look at the blade, and the shaft, and most especially how the blade connects to the shaft, it is clearly a Bardiche or Lochaber Axe. NOT A HALBERD. #NotMyHalberd

Experimental Frenzy is card advantage in red, I will pie bet you that is going to see play.

Someone is going to find a way to combo/storm kill with Experimental Frenzy. If your whole deck is 100% mana rocks, rituals, and cantrips, you can basically play everything the moment the enchantment resolves. Throw in LED and Yawg's Will if you need the cards out of your hand as well.

Hey, red decks have been good like five years ago. What about that impossibly small red deck in Theros block that curved put at 3 and had 18 total lands? That did work for, like, a month.

Does Runaway-Steam-Kin go directly into Modern Storm? .. I mean every time you Pyretic Ritual or Manamorphose that thing builds up for free basically. Also gives you an outlet vs Leyline of Sanctity? .. idk .. I have never actually piloted storm, only played against it.

Niv-Mizzet, Parun pretty much replaces my favourite card of all time as my main commander. I can see him being the capstone in control variants of the UB Wizard tribal deck but he is going to be incredible as a commander since he brings together the two most popular Izzet EDH strategies of spellslinging and wheels/draw under one umbrella. A lot of brewing will be needed before I can figure out the full potential of this new legend.

actually, when you cast invert on the cyclops it will get +7/+0 and then become a 8/7 until end of turn, split cards have the CMC of both halves.

Considering Teferi is a $70 card from my LGS, I'd pose that Ral will be the poor man's 5CMC planeswalker for control. I'm super excited to build an Izzet Counterburn deck and he's gonna be the top of my curve. I ain't shellin' out for Teferi!
