Happy Memorial Day!! Let us be thankful for the brave soldiers who served and those who continue to serve our great country!

P.S. I GUESS THAT’S WHY IT’S CALLED FISHING AND NOT CATCHING!

Hey dude, whenever you come back down to South Florida (Jupiter) myself and Ryan Izquierdo can get you on as many snakeheads as you’d like 😁🤙🏼

That was dedication! a whole lot of hiking in wet shoes through some sketchy areas. Those secluded spots might hold some giant fish. A Bass and Crappie will have to do for now.

Here are some infos that might be useful when you're targeting snakeheads:
1) since snakeheads breathe through both their gills and suprabranchial chamber, they'll surface every now and then, which allow us to pinpoint their location (they'll surface more frequently in the drought season when the water and oxygen level is low)
2) if you're going with topwater presentation, use something that cause a lot of commotion ie. Buzzbait, jumpfrogs etc. Snakeheads are aggressive and they won't shy away from your noisy and fast lures .
3) if topwater ain't working, go deep with soft plastics. I normally throw texas rig minnow imitation around any sort of vegetation/submerged structure and retrieve slowly and steadily. If a snakehead bites, allow 2-3 seconds before setting the hook .
4)this might be unethical to some, but you could try targeting their fry balls should you see them . Not sure about the species you have in the states, but most snakeheads are very protective parent. The parents would guard their babies up to a certain stage and would readily attack almost anything that comes close to them .
Love your vids bro :)
