Personally, I can't believe that someone somewhere hasn't developed a far simpler, everyday tab editor software, solely for guitar. Its nuts! I've been playing now for over 40-years and I've attempted to use TabEdit, MuseScore and countless others, but I find them all to be far too cumbersome, far too complex for the everyday (home studio) player. Complete overkill. Few people need all of these elaborate buzzers and bells, folks. Just a simple, interactive .pdf file that allows for the insertion of fret number by string number! That's it! But, sadly, no one has yet to do it. And so, as crazy as it sounds, I simply use paper tab templates, fill them in by hand with a pen or pencil, take a photo of them with the smartphone, and save to my studio library. Done! Fini! Kaput!

Perfect! I figured out the TAB but couldn't figure out how to add the music notation above. You're a lifesaver!

I first looked at the MuseScore 4 Manual "Tablature" section. It was _overwhelming!_ I thought that I would need to set aside significant time in order to figure out what it was saying.

Trying make a tab for 7 stringed guitar. I cannot add notes to the 7th string. How do I fix this?

the numbers of my keyboard (both numpad and normal keys) change the rhythm of the tab notes but not the number itself, can anyone help me solve this problem?

I've tried the Tabs on musescore and its quite slow and not very intuitive. plus there are other complications like what if you have a part played on guitar but in a certain position, as in, same notes, same pitches but different strings/frets for a more bassy tone for example. Musescore is good, but not for doing guitar tabs, or at least not yet anyway. :/
