as the video started i thought what version of logic is this, then seen the date of the video. I've had 3 midi keyboards in my time and every one of them has been a nightmare to set up. what year are we in? plug in, auto software start. install. and bang now it works. but no its not as simple as that, why? i have an arturia key lab 49 and I've got it plugged in just usb into my iMac. not using DC power output. i open logic, controller surfaces, setup, add mackie logic thing as I've seen in a video and the model or brand i have isn't in the list. the guy in the video could select input and output where as i can't. someone mentioned in comments about advanced tools enabled so i went there and selected it all. so then i tried setting up controller again and still i didn't have the option to set in or output. i can't see many videos of people setting it up either. i must be a real noob at setting up keyboards. any help will be great thanks.

this is no longer working on the new software version as of 3/17/2014. can you post another video on how to do it now that it's been updated?

In MIDI setup I just see `IAC driver`, but I cannot see my Roland Edirol anywhere. What can I do? thank you :(

It doesn't show me midi devices like that at all now. Possibly things changed a lot in 5 years?
