@22hocman The motors I'm using are electric wheelchair motors that I purchased off eBay. I'll be giving a full list of all the components I used as well as where you can find them once I finish the project.

Very cool, that thing works great. It would be neat if you had a rechargeable lawn mower with it. That way, you could power the mower and the drive on the same battery pack. You could start and shut down the mower with your remote too.

An Idea for the frame is 80/20 aluminum extrusion. I have used 80/20 in the past, its great stuff! Ebay has an online store that sells over stock as well as lightly damaged or scuffed products for a very cheap price.

You should assign the throttle channel to adjust the height, and the throttle hold switch to the blades on and off :)

Using larger 13X5 inch rear wheels will give you tons more traction and power. Google 'turf saver wheels bmikarts' and get them for 40 bucks a set - they have a four hole pattern that mounts directly to your wheelchair motors.

I am making a RC robot with the same transmitter/reciever. I'm praying that I don't blow up another $200 piece of equipment.

I think that your motor are too close to the ground. You should put the motor in the other direction away from ground. See my video.

Hi Robert. Have you done any more work with your mower? I have built 2 of them now but actually im more interested in other peoples builds.
