Picked up a brand new leftover 2023 for $8, 000 this winter which is the appropriate price for this machine, IMO. It’s the kind of bike you don’t fully appreciate until you’ve owned a handful of others…. such an enjoyable performer no matter what kind of riding you are doing. Just light enough and powerful enough to keep the smile on your face all day too.

The Versys 650 (especially 3rd and 4th generation models) is one of the most underrated and overlooked bikes for US buyers. It’s basically a more comfortable Ninja 650 with tall ergonomics, better suspension, and serious touring capability. Bike of the year in 2008 from several publications (obviously first gen) and since they’ve never been popular dealers are willing to move them cheap.

Ray, Suzuki has a road version of the V-STROM 800 DE, it's the V-STROM 800. I think you would dig the ride

Ive had many many bikes and this one seems like a great all rounder to be a good companion to my off road adv bike, however its crept up in price a couple of grand, It may be a little high now especially new from a stealership. I love the look of the new one vs he last 2 years. that's a debacle

Truckers call it floating the gears if your not using the clutch. Not sure if a bike tranny is synchronize, if so you have to be more precise when selecting gears with rpms
