Perhaps it’s no coincidence… But the same year, 1955, that Walt Disney had established himself as a household name, Alfred Hitchcock was one of the few film directors known to the general public – popularly perceived as the world’s leading purveyor of chilling suspense. Hitchcock‘s droll persona, portly form and inimitably lugubrious voice created one of television’s most familiar icons.

As for the king of suspense... Sir Alfred was an AMAZINGLY great comedian.

he was just marvelous! we had such great show business people back in the ‘50’s and early ‘60’s. everyone was different and had such class and distinct characters. Hitch is a scream - the macabre with wit :} 😋
