One more thing. In the four criteria, there are no half-bands. For example, Task Response can't be 6.5 as in the video; it's either a Band 6 or Band 7. Only the Task score and the overall Writing score can be 6.5

The reason is that ChatGPT hasn't been specifically trained to evaluate writing essays. If it were, it would provide more accurate scores. Without proper training, it simply compares the essay with its own writing style and assigns a score based on that comparison.

Recently I did the same thing and sent him band 9 sample. ChatGPT scored that 7, 5-8

Chatgpt is the best tool to evaluate the Ielts essay. The main catch is you have to give " Band 7 Descriptors(Marking criteria in detail) as question" and answer as essay to chatgpt.

While preparing for Ilets exam i have used ChatGPT to correct my essay response and i kept receiving lower bands. It hit me with insecurity with the exam getting closer and i couldn’t stop worrying about my performance in exam day. Thanks to you i feel much better ❤

I don't know exactly what is my level of writing but it always gave me 6 . Even if im satisfied with my writing and followed the structure and use wide range of vocabulary. So i stopped using it i felt like iam not doing any progress.

it would be interesting if you tried different AI models, and note which ones score the most accurately. also, chatgpt is too harsh, you either communicate like Shakespeare, or you're automatically given a band 6 😂
