Lou Pardini - What Might Have Been
Lyrics:
Somewhere lost in the wind
I'm watching you
Sunlight touching your hair
And I remember

Somehow
We said that we would never stray
But somehow we lost our way
Promises to often spoken

Are easily broken apart
I'm ready this time
I know that I'm
No longer undecided

Don't want to be a fool wondering...
... What might have been
Trace of forever lingering
Drawing me closer to you

A new beginning
Now I know
There is no doubt
I understand

Just how fragile love can be
I can't forget
Your memory found me
Now I know where I belong...

I'm ready this time
I know that I'm
No longer undecided
Don't want to be a fool wondering...

... What might have been
Through every day
And into the night
With only love to guide us

I'm ready to go
'Cause I've got to know...
What might have been
Let the lovin' decide

I can't run I can't hide...
I want you to know
My heart will show
That I'm...

Ready this time
I know that I'm
No longer undecided
Don't want to be a fool wondering...

... What might have been
I've searched everywhere
And nothing compares
When we've got love to guide us

I'm ready to go
I've got to know...
What might have been
I'm wondering...

What might have been
I want to know
What might have been
We're gonna find

What might have been
Oh... I want to know
What might have been
Oh...

What might have been
We're gonna find
What might have been
I want to know

What might have been
... What might have been...

People loved 80s Westcoast sound but 90s Westcoast also very good and underrated to me too 🙂👍 (Lou Pardini music and also Bill Champlin "Through It All" was a very good example)

Glad to see some new people making 80s sound but I'm still wait and wondered if there some new people who making sound like this too ?

Millennials and zillennials should listen to this song and understand its meaning... they can relate for sure. Enough with the "wishful thinking" and immature "pabebe" acoustic songs today with the same dull rhythm and manipulative and/or forgettable lyric... This is what great songs are known for... Thank you Lou Pardini... (By the way, I saw him performed the song once in Manila and the second one when I was studying in Jersey City 12 years ago. His emotionally-rich rendition gives me chills and tears up to now.)
