These are pro level guitars, don’t let the haters fool you. The pickups and hardware are the same as more expensive models and they have nitro finish. Gibson always have decent resale value too.

Got a 2016 Gibson 50s Tribute HP Goldtop from reverb Gibson demo shop. it was modified with chrome Grover tuners, pots and knobs. Has a few scratches that are almost impossible to see. Just an amazing guitar. $999. Great place to find a deal on Gibson guitars.

I just got one of these a few days ago. I am loving it. After some slight adjustments it is totally rad. I got a nice flamed neck on mine which is a plus. Doesn't sound much different than an all mahogany les pauls either, very close. I personally hate weight relief but it sounds great and is resonate. Cool Metallica riffs duder

I bought my Tribute in February, and absolutely love it.

Forcmecits the 490 series pickups that make this guitar great.

You said no binding but the maple top you can see it placed on top of the body and it looks like a pseudo binding to me!
Love my Tribute

These are great guitars. I compared a Tribute to a Studio and thought the Tribute felt much better than the Studio, mostly due to the satin finish (especially on the neck). The maple neck is another plus in my book.

The tribute is a most excellent guitar. The weight relief makes it more fun to play without sacrificing anything on tone. The pickups are awesome and the bridge pickup is hot enough to take care of business. As he said in this video, this is truly a player's guitar. The Tribute is the guitar you take to the gig! I got mine a few months ago and now the other guitars have become wall hangers.

I don’t know why people put this model down so much it’s still a American made Gibson lp it’s a true work horse

The forum guys are ridiculous 🙄. I can’t play really heavy guitars anymore so I’m eyeing up both this and the studio since they both have the ultra modern weight relief.

Bro! I was considering a new LP Tribute in the next couple of days. When you came outta the gate with Fade To Black, I took that as a sign to go and spend the cash now! I'm headed to the "big box" guitar store in Pasadena for a satin cherry sunburst, a new amp, and all the needed accessories needed to start playing AGAIN. Thanks for the inspiration brother and keep enjoying that badd ass axe you got there. Keep jammin'! God bless you.☺🙏👍

I thought the pickup selector didn’t have the white ring around the knob on the Tribute model?

Hii!! Sorry for my English 😅 I have to buy a Les Paul, so, I would buy a Les Paul Studio because I love 498T pickup (like Seymour Duncan JB), but now I hate LP Studio colors…
Red Wine is too strange, and Smokehouse is beautiful but too dark.
I love color of this Les Paul Tribute, like a Les Paul Jr, it’s awesome!

So, now I don’t know if buy Les Paul Studio with 498t and bad color, or a Tribute with nice color but “unknow” pickups…

I didn’t know about 490T pickup, I knew only 498T, Burstbucker Pro and 57 Classic.
I like everyone, but for my music maybe it’s better 498T (I play punk and alternative rock, but also I need a guitar for more melodic and pop stuff).

I saw a video comparison between Studio and Tribute, and you know, it seems Tribute with 490T has a more tight and defined sound, it sounds nice!
498T seems to be fatter and buzzier, or I’m wrong? Maybe I like more 490T…

However I’m afraid 490T is too soft and weak respect to 498T, I need an high output pickup like 498T, Burstbucker and JB…
So, do you think I should take a 498T or a 490T pickup?

I also am thinking about change neck pickup, because I don’t like generally Les Paul neck pu… They are too fat and compressed.
I could take a Seymour Duncan 59, or a Gibson P90, do you think it’s a nice idea? 😁
