As an alternative to dulling the shine from point shoes, you can also use “Caladryl” or “Calamine” lotions that is used for treating poison ivy. One is a tad lighter and less pink than the other. I had to dull my point shoes for Giselle and Swan Lake. The texture is just right applying to point shoes.

Please compare Pointe shoes, for comedy temu has pointe! But it would be interesting to see a variation from temu, Amazon, Bloch, and, like Blue Perisan salt or Josefinas.

hi, hobby ballet dancer (for 10+years) here... i don't know what pancaking is, do you just use white makeup? I would love to hav my point shoes be matte too^^)

Since you said that water breaks down and softens the shoes, how do you take the pancake stuff off? Is that just a forever pancaked pair now?

Ok so probably a dumb question, but so ballet directors and choreographers not decide if it’s ok for you to do that to your shoes? Like are they not going for a specific look? Or is that part left up to the dancers?

As my name is gisselle....I have so far not died yet from a broken heart thatnk God...although I've had many of broken and I am pale as a ghost...Go figure😂😂
