🇹🇼👍Taiwan was where the American backed govt in 1949 exile fled to. Since that day, the US has recognized Taiwan as an independent entity from🇨🇳 Communist China.

The most Taiwanese don't want the independence of the island Taiwan from the China (the Nation) otherwise they would have made a new nation.

The fact:
The government on the island Taiwan, which is voted by the Taiwanese, is The Republic of China (RoC),a government of China (the Nation), whose current legal constitution claims the whole China as its territory and all its citizens are Chinese.

The current legal constitution of the RoC has been set into effect in 1947, as it still ruled the whole China until 1949 when the People's Republic of China (PRC) founded in 1949.

The RoC was founded in 1912 in Chinas (the Nation) territory.

Apple is still in the process of shifting manufacturing over to India. It's talking some time. If apple was given reasonable notice, they could quickly build up some stock before reach that point. At best it buys them more time.
