Pope Wades Back into Parenthood Debate with New Comment | Vantage with Palki Sharma

Pope Francis has waded back into a controversial debate on parenthood, hailing Indonesia's birthrate and joking that people in other countries would rather have a pet cat or dog than their own babies. It's not the first time he's done this. The pontiff faced backlash in 2022 for suggesting couples who have pets instead of children are selfish and a threat to humanity. Palki Sharma tells you more.

I have a feeling all religious leaders see young women as broodmares.

One of the richest people in the world doesn't understand why people don't want to have children anymore. GENIUS!!!

I support the Pope though I am not a Catholic. The modern generation has become selfish in choosing to raise pets over children.

Nobody wants to live in poverty on purpose just so you can have future parishioners

Yes, people have treated pets more like a human instead of having children.
Children are gifts from God and pets are just our animals.

All priests cannot be perfect. Don't forget about the 98 good ones and talk only about the 2 bad ones

A 'kid' is a baby goat so parents are forsaking one animal for another.

Life needs to be family focused not work and survival focussed. How do you expect people woeking 12hr shifts to looks after children just so they can have a roof over their heads?

He's not wrong. People are lazy, individualistic, and careless.

12 million dollars allocation for this visit is nothing compared to the charities the catholic church gave to the nation which will surely be in perpetuity. People is still a good investment to the nations rather than pets. Pets don't generate money on their own. they rely still on people...

Oi. Palki. Indonesians are grateful seeing the Pope being lifted of Indonesia with Garuda. A mythical bird, a symbol of strength and courage. Papua New Guineans are grateful to see the Pope being flown out of PNG with the Kumul. The Kumul is no ordinary bird. It is the bird of paradise. In eschalogical text, paradise is the final resting place for the virtuous dead, specifically the soul. Now, what's the story of Air India and it's logo?

Why is with folded hands seeking forgiveness for the excess committed by Christian s on the local population of Canada where there are thousands of burial grounds are found behind Church where local children in the name of education are starved to death.
This is the act of great Christianity.
