Wish we had such low retirement age. It's 67 here now. Good luck to them although I don't think Macron will change his mind about it. Mind you if you don't ask, you don't get in this world I suppose.

In USA, full Retirement is at 65 . In my opinion Macron should focus the French Youth in the need to get skills or they will not make it to 62 or 64 and enjoy their Retirement, Asia competition will be ruthless, the Youth in China and India are assembling the most sophisticated iPhones and Androids and they have develop their own Cyber Economies, while many Youth in Europe enjoys the beautiful beaches and cafes and terraces every day to complain about everything, Europe must find a new formula with Agrivoltaics, Heat Pumps, Electric Vehicles and Batteries Factories and Desalination, as well as Installing Solar Panels and Wind Turbines in every Roof and space . Get ready for Competition or lose everything.

The French state is essentially bankrupt and pension obligations have ballooned. But here are these people, thinking they should have the right to enjoy their long retirement at the expense of future generations! I don't like Macron, but I hope he will stick it out on this issue

These people are deluded. Life expectancy has gone up by 12 years since the pension age was introduced. Where's the money supposed to come from?
