I have to say; one of my favorite things i have ever built in terraria was on my friends multiplayer world and it was a Star-Trek style transport room where we all stood on teleporters and when we were ready we threw the switch and we all ended up at an exact copy of that room somewhere else in the world.

What I would add to the list is a armour room with a lol of the armour in the game so as you progress in the game you can make a few more armour sets

you place npc:s in a secret room.... the npc:s are visible on the map xD HAHHAHAHHAHHA

make 3 liquid generators for lava, water, and honey. (easy enough: make a plinko machine with a room above dropping liquid on top of 1+ pegs, in the top room, put an output pump. at the base of the plinko pegs, put an intake pump. then connect the 2 pumps together and to a 1 sec timer. add enough of your liquid to the base to allow constant pumping, then activate and watch as the machine slowly fills with the liquid)

build an obsidian, (solid) honey, and crispy honey generator. (use the above liquid generator, then put a 3 block tunnel underneath connecting the 2 pools. remove the center block in the tunnel and as long as you keep the generators running, you have infinite obsidian and solid honey (crispy and solid).

make a statue mob farm/grinder. (there are multiple forms, my go to is a 2x3 box (interior) with thin lava, statue, and timer.)

1. Get the clentaminator.
2. Get some crimson solutions.
3. Visit your sister's world.
4. Spread crimson to her base and remove the hallow.
5. Quarrell.

My world has a pirate ship, a train system with little stations in it, really a lot of things!
Mayne the only thing missing is a terrarium room, also the right side of my world is all crimsoned :|

I know one for fast money money and has a use for the blood moon;
set up a room,
then split you're room in half with fish statues on the bottom of the room and pressure plaits at the top,
then wire the pressure plaits to the fish statues

instructions;
wait or do something until the blood moon arrives,
then run across the top layer of the box until the blood moon event is over
and finally go douwn and kill all the corrupted fish
