Imagine bullying a little girl for dancing 🤦‍♂️

Looks like the Balinese people aren't bothered by this, just the racists.

If you ignore the culture, racist. If you partake in the culture, racist.

This is a ridiculous non-issue. If anyone is upset about it, they have way too much free time on their hands.

Even if she WAS a white girl from Anytown, USA, though, why doesn't anyone see this as APPRECIATING the culture, instead of appropriating it???

I do wonder what these "Cultural Appropriation" people eat.

Yes. Good on you Daisy for your amazing dance and learning the traditions of your home country. Im "white" and also have Maori blood in NewZealand. Im sooo proud of my Maori ancestory and will continue to learn and participate with Maori culture... because it's my culture to. ❤

I’m speaking on behalf of Indonesians, her interest and contribution to Balinese dance is considered cultural APPRECIATION, not appropriation. We are proud to have our culture embraced by people of other races and nationalities.

I'm a Latino, and to all my White and Black brothers and sisters, I love when y'all engage our culture via dances, food, language, etc. Let's preach unity, not separatism.

How is racism ever supposed to end if people keep trying to gatekeep others from enjoying their cultures?

Saying that people shouldn’t participate in an activity, culture, or tradition because of the color of their skin. These people really don’t realize that that’s literally what racism is?

She is integrating with the community in which she lives.

I am white, a friend I had in Seattle is black. We participated in the Chinese new year celebration including the dance. The Chinese welcomed everyone and taught the dance. Great to learn about different cultures.

She’s not appropriating, she’s appreciating a culture in which she lives. Good for her.

Why do people always take up offense for groups they are NOT even a part of? It is so tiresome.

Doesn't matter if she's Balinese or not, she can do what she wants. It's like saying black people aren't allowed to do the waltz. It's ridiculous
