There's a red-tailed hawk in my neighborhood. When he's around ALL of the jays fly in from all over to mob him. Always makes me smile.

Another mobbing story.... once saw a mockingbird chasing a crow chasing a vulture.

My Jays' are really emotional and loud right now because of their molting and mating season. My poor babies!

almost every morning i hear them when i first get up it always puts a smile on my face... And they sure get chatty when you don't have their peanuts out there for them when they think you should lol!!

I feed the Jays in my neighborhood daily. My favorite is when they come to eat at my bird feeder and try the old cheeky hawk call to scare the other birds away so they can get their fill of seed. 😂😂😂

Seeing those babes sunning themselves was probably the cutest & most hilarious thing I've ever seen them doing! 😂 In Winter after a snowfall, I always enjoy seeing their little bird tracks on my porch leading up to the dry catfood I put out.

2:55 - Yes, I saw a turkey vulture sunning on the window ledge just across from my cubicle at an office. His wing's shadow on the floor was considerably odd.

Best of all, even though he saw me, he didn't care when I walked up to within a foot of him for a better look!

Love it! I just started feeding the birds in my garden. I live in Missouri. Today I cracked some English walnuts and hazelnuts. Blue jays found them instantly. I like the way blue jays take peanuts right from your hands. That will be my goal to achieve. Absolutely adorable.

Years ago, we were sitting on the porch feeding the blue jays peanuts. The peanuts were in a plastic bag sitting on the floor near us. A blue jay flew down and grabbed the whole bag and tried to fly away with it. He made it about 50 feet before he lost it. We laughed so hard at his antic.

These guys are my absolute favourite backyard bird ! I spent over a year studying these guys and I fell in love with them very quickly. The other thing I love about them is how they will watch me when I talk to them.I had them eating from my hand after just a few weeks. Such a beautiful thing !! My favourite thing to see them do I think would be the sun bathing and the hoarding as many peanuts into its mouth at once and trying so hard to get more in .They certainly are comedians !! I raised an orphaned baby blue jay ones I called him Jay Leno. He was so bad is it flew around the living room and would dive-bomb anything standing up like a lamp or a drink. LOL he was terrible!
