Abandoned truck rescued from the desert after 50 years/ 1946 international sunk in the ground

Me and my dad rescue a 1946 international half ton short bed after it’s been sitting abandoned under a tree for 50 solid years. Will it run? Will it drive ? Is the motor locked ? We don’t know. But it was to cool to pass up. I had to have it. Rescuing and old truck from its grave and breathing new life into it.

The summer after I graduated from high school in 1976, the Fates conspired to place me for a day on the small farm of an 83 year-old man in the foothills east of California's Central Valley. He was still actively single-handedly farming it, and I was there to help him sort out old equipment to auction off. During a break, I strolled through the woods and stumbled across a 1947 international pickup sunken to its axels in the soil. It also had never been registered and had only been used on his farm. After much persistent pestering, I talked him into selling it to me for my last $50 (fantasizing that I would somehow tow it hundreds of miles to Southern California and restored to its original magnificence!) Needless to say, it's probably still deep in those woods and was sold a few more times after I bought it! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😝
