Ale y Yose is a short documentary film about two friends and DREAMers Alejandra Matias and Yoselina Bazan. Interweaving home movie captured by Ale and Yose with interview and observational footage captured by the filmmaker, the film follows Ale and Yose over the course of 6-months in their home city of Oakland, California. At a time where undocumented immigrants, the Latino community, and DREAMers are under attack, Ale y Yose offers an intimate glimpse into the lives and perspectives of two girls at the forefront of these intersecting issues. Undocumented yet unafraid, Ale and Yose both fit and break the mold of a US teenager.

Why doesn't Mexico have a DACA program?? Why can't we have the exact level of border security that Mexico has with their border with Guatemala??

What's wrong with American kids can't live without their phones. That's really messed up for me. They act like the teachers confiscating phones like the teachers are spanking them or disrepecting them.

I'm all for illegal immigrants coming to America just don't force the tax payers to pay for you, if you can come here and work without needing to take government assistance I'm all for it. It's not fair to the America people to take care of people who Break the law
