I wonder how long it took Matt to learned Russian to the point he communicates with ease with teammates and for volleyball technical instructions, etc... I am sure the team probably hired someone for him and Wilfredo Leon to teach them.

What an interesting life would be to play professionally to that level around the world. Too bad USA doesnt like volleyball as much as Europe and Asia where the pro leaguers can make a living out of it.

@cathy- I don't think he means all the time, just the days where he has 2 trainings because he can't do many activities. Maybe as he stays longer in Russia and grasp the language a bit more, he will go out more.

 I think Volleyball is one of the toughest sports out there, in terms of a long season and loads of training. It's like from Sept to May is season and then some players have international duty as well.

I know they have videos with Mikalov and others but I hope they do the Russian players again, with eng subtitles as well. I am a fan of some of the Zenit players and the Russian National Team.
