Building the FISH ROOM! The next chapter for the channel.

Everything has finally arrived for the new mini fish room! This is going to enable me to produce more content with different how to videos, fish files, experiments and more. Let me know in the comments what type of aquarium you would like to see as the first set up in the fish room, you never know, the most liked comment might be the one I choose!

I didn't get round to it in this video but I will probably move the experiment tanks, with the rice fish and guppies in, up into this room. That way it gives me space to set up the Fluval Shaker 345 downstairs as my new Cichlid aquarium.

YouTube keep asking me to set up memberships on the page, so there is now one you can join. I've set up a very standard membership, but I wanted to put it to all you lovely people. what would you like out of a membership to this channel? behind the scenes? My day to day goings on? Some form of group to join? a way to contact me directly (not sure I have the time for that haha) but anyway let me know what you think.

Anyway, I'm so excited to get the first aquascape underway in the new room, just got to decide what fish will live in there and what type of scape it will be.

Looks fab Matt. Your wife was definitely right about adding flowers it brings it all together. I’m thinking about turning my upstairs storage room into a fish room to do more breeding. I love raising fry. I had a creaky floorboard that was under the laminate floor, it got on my nerves so much, that I hit nail’s into it in multiple places…😅worked a treat! I haven’t heard a creak since, but if you look close enough you can see that tops of the nails in the laminate flooring lol 😆

Instead of curtains consider the darkening film on the windows. Can’t wait to see what you do with the tanks. Bettas, gouramis, etc been done. I’d like to see a scape with a nano fish you haven’t talked about yet.

I'm very excited to see your fish room. My favorite MD videos are his collabs with you. His artistry combined with your fish and plant knowledge make for very informative and enjoyable content. I'm excited to apply what I learn from the two of you to my own "fish room". I've gotta say that multi tank syndrome is a true thing. I returned home from an internship at a medical marijuana grow facility to find that my young adult daughters had acquired around 6 nano aquariums inhabited by bettas and struggling live plants. I began to apply what I had been learning about plants to the tanks, hoping to improve the conditions for the inhabitants. I quickly learned that most of the tanks were too small, so I invested in some 5 and 10 gallons and a few plants. Now, after about 15 months, I've got more than a dozen thriving ecosystems in my home, and I'm so excited to learn so much more. Congratulations on your new fish room, and I can't wait to learn more and more!

Yay! Would you do a tank for fish that don't need lots of heat? Ricefish I've heard can do without a heater in the right climate, but some education about the temp ranges that different kinds of fish (plus other aquatic life such as plants & cleanup crew) thrive in would be so helpful. It’s looking amazing we’ll done!! I would love to see more natural style scapes like biotopes, some tannings in the water, hard scape only tanks stuff like that 🤷‍♂️ wild bettas would be amazing, dwarf cichlids, any of the air breathing fish loads of amazing little fish!! What about Pygmy sun fish ? So excited!!🎉
