Ive been in the Roblox community since 2017, and it's honestly sad to see what it has become over the past few years. The things on the platform now our things i'd never thought would happen. I hope one day something will happen to the company and website that will make things turn around. ESPECIALLY the moderation.

I still remember when Erik Cassel died, it was this weird time of the community coming together. Pretty much as quickly as that feeling came, it went. Roblox is a cesspit of its former self

I remember playing this game as a kid, when the only popular map was the survive the natural disaster island game. It’s sad how far downhill this game has gone since then.

cool fun fact for those who haven't followed ruben sim: he was banned off roblox, partially for spending time showing the very clear risks of the platform, and they are currently sueing him, claiming he is a danger to the platform. He currently has an entire series called Moderation for Dummies where he finds blatantly obvious rule breakers, and shows them off, showing how little roblox's mod team does. give the man support.

I'm gonna blame the parents in a lot of these situations - what business does a 4 year old have on a platform like Roblox? Parents have to do their research and restrict their kids Internet access, and yes obvi roblox needs to make some serious changes

I was about to be a little upset assuming you were going to brush over some useful context, but you actually summed it up well. Lots of people talk down on Roblox but have horrible reasons why. But this video is actually valid. It's even more sad to say the horrors that happen on Roblox are even worse than all describe here.

Parents 100% need to supervise their kids on the internet, Roblox especially. Many games on there are super predatory. Creating gambling addictions, or pay to win addictions, and also FOMO.
I will admit, I play roblox. Alone, but also with a small group of friends and my son plays as well, so it's something we like to do together. But I've made sure to teach my son about internet safety and and I closely supervise him! Also, the more a parent knows about the internet, the more they can teach their kids how to be safer.

It takes hours scrolling to find an actual well made to high quality games with passion and care put into it, with little to no Monetization at all!

Heck, there is NO Genre Filter because Roblox removed it years ago for some bs reason which makes finding great games an actual nightmare
