I've got one, I love it because you get a lot of bang, for your buck . Great broadcast mic, and for voice overs !

Coincidence: I subbed to that channel yesterday after I saw you recommended him on another video. He's awesome.

Hey guy, I just found your channel and subscribed because I love your reviews and how you document them. I bought two of these for podcasting and VO work and love them. I know your review is 4yrs+ old now but I'm happy to see you approved of the Stealth and I hope it will get the word out there about Aston mics (I also use a Spirit condenser for VO work)--I would love to hear if you still have a favorable opinion of them in 2024 and still use them or not. I've read a lot of negs about the Stealth but from what I can tell, people seem to be using it wrong and have unreasonable expectations for them--I think referring to the active and passive modes as condenser and dynamic mode has been harmful to the mic's rep because whether or not it is receiving phantom power, it is still a dynamic mic and will always have the capsule and sensitivity of a dynamic mic no matter what, so I can understand why people get frustrated with it. I hope with great reviews like yours (and the Booth Junkie Mike Delgaudio), we can keep great competition like Aston Mics in the marketplace for years to come. Keep up the great work, sir!

The top is buiild from plastic because of the sound difference.
As you can hear (especially when you back off a bit) it sounds very cuppy.
If you would make it from metal you get that x10.

A built in cloud-lifter, that's awesome. I already have a cloud lifter, but I'd rather not have to worry about plugging it in. I'm loving what Aston is doing with this mic. The different pick-up patters, the fact that you can turn the light on/off. These aren't just details to me. I also really like that frequency response. I usually just prefer flat responses, but in this case that frequency response already fits my voice. I'm going to have to make this my next mic. They would have killed it if they had built-in a Stedman-like metal pop-filter along with the wind-screen material, but who knows how that would effect the response/color of the mic. And I don't understand why the 'female' selection is so bright. The female voice is already usually very bright compared to a male voice. Great review, thanks!

Couple of thoughts. You should share the mics sensitivity according to the manufacturer.
Also, it's hard to determine the true noise floor in a youtube video. What's your opinion on the noise floor with the fantom power activated?

By the way, that pop-filter of ours is too close to the mic. They're not mean to work that way ;-)
