Andy relishing in his newfound freedom is a immensely cathartic, satisfactory moment, and you can't help but cheer for him! 😍♥️

"I didn't do enough." From Schindler's List. No matter how many times I watch that scene, I always want to join that group hug.

The ending of E.T. is still a tearjerker years later

This could've been a Top 30 list! There are so many other iconic movie scenes out there. I would include the final scene in The Color Purple when Celie is reunited with her family. I've never bawled so much at a movie!😭😭😭

My favourite is LOTR "you bow to noone" to the hobbits and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, when the mothership lands and they start a sound conversation! Chills

The Wizard of Oz is, and always will be, my favorite Golden Age film. My dad used to share when he was a kid in the 50's, his family couldn't afford a color television so whenever they saw The Wizard of Oz, the picture was still black and white when Dorathy opens the door to Oz. So it made watching it as a husband and dad made it all the more memorable

For over 45 years of the ‘Star Wars’ franchise, “I am your father” is still my most favorite movie line…

All good choices! I would add the scene in Casablanca when Victor Laszlo says to the band, “Play La Marseillaise” and then leads them all in singing it to drown out the Nazi soldiers singing their anthem. It always gives me chills to think what it would have been like to watch that in 1941.

Andy basking in the rain knowing that he is finally free of that God-forsaken hell is always a wonderful thing.

i also add the titanic hitting the iceberg is another one to add. the scene is filled with intense music and that realization of just how massive the ship really was and how even with modern technology at its finest at the time, its not a match for the power of nature

The USS Indianapolis story is my second favorite movie scene, just brilliantly done by Robert Shaw. My first is the scene in "Contact" when Jodie Foster first hears the radio signal from Vega, the first "Contact", it still takes my breath away, so magnificently done and such an underrated performance and movie.

Spock's death in Star Trek 2, the Wrath of Khan is my #1. Gandalf's "You Shall Not Pass!" moment with the Balrog fight in the Mines of Moria is pretty iconic LOTR. 'Play it again, Sam', or perhaps singing the Marsailles against the Nazis in the same movie. Casino Royale card game. "You're a wizard, Harry" (someone's already said this, but I agree.), "Frankly, Scarlett, I don't give a damn" (same) Forrest Gump's "Life is like a box of chocolates" AND the keyboard dance scene in Big. Mary Poppins flying down to Cherry Lane. George Bailey screaming down the snowy avenue in sheer relief.

For me it's Bucky's unmasking in The Winter Soldier. The whole fight between him and Steve is awesome but that moment where Steve sees Bucky's never gets old!
