10 or 15 years ago, we stayed in Driggs and visited Teton and Yellowstone NPs, as well as Jackson. We loved it.

We stayed at a nice condo in Driggs when we visited the area. Really quiet compared to the Jackson area. Being from FL that Teton pass was a little nerve racking first few trips into Jackson. Had a really good time even tho we missed out on Yellowstone due to the park being closed due to the flooding while we were there.

We live in Driggs. The Driggs/Victor area known as Teton Valley has an over abundance of Air BnBs. So much so that there is a housing crisis for workers living full time here. As you observed in your video, a lot of Jackson workers live in Driggs and Victor. What you may not realize is that some of those commuters on Teton Pass have come from as far away as Rexburg and Idaho Falls. The long time residents of Teton Valley are seeing the valley “discovered” and an unprecedented period of growth. It’s very painful. I can imagine it’s the same for them as it was for the long time residents of Slaterville and Farr West. (Member of Slaterville’s Smout family here and grew up in Farr West).

Love your videos. They have helped me plan my trips to GTNP, YNP, and headed to GNP and the other 2 this year. Just an FYI. Jenny Lake Lodge was a dream place for me to stay. On our last trip we treated ourselves to 2 nights in a cabin. It is not $1000 per person, per night. It is about $1, 000 for 2 people and it includes a 5 course dinner (a very nice meal) as well as breakfast. The dining room is intimate and has views of the Tetons. It also includes bikes and horseback riding. So while still very pricey, it does include some nice amenities. Plus the proximity to the area and the stunning views are unparalleled to anywhere I have ever stayed.

This is great info to know because after we go to Yellowstone for a few days, we are going to stay somewhere in the Grand Teton area. I wonder what is like here in late September when we are planning to go? 🤔
