just a thought of mine, do think about it: until Mia, Winston never trusted his witnesses, then the fact that he was always at a visible shock whenever (well, all the time) his later witnesses turned out to be the culprits, might be a subtle hint to that - while those games came before - he was probably genuinely trying to trust his witnesses more after and just really ended up unlucky as prosecutor for those murders. Also add his confidence to this line of thought: 1) he may have lost these cases and 2) he does not look like a hard prosecutor to beat, but then these two added together might mean that in the other cases he likely ended up convicting the actual criminals, as really no defense attorney could probably have lost to him if it was otherwise. This could explain his long win-streak too, Winston might not be the brightest, wants to win all the time and does bear some grudges in non-harmful ways, but is honest and always willing to step into the courtroom. I mean, when he offered Edgeworth help, he had nothing to gain from it, he just wanted to help out and... maybe wanted to be important, but that is quite okay

I think some might miss the point, his job is to make your day as easy as possible, and a lot of the time, dude don't have much luck on his side. If you got dumpstered so quick by him you probably wouldn't like the experience as you just played, and also, winston gives the vibe of that one guy who refuse to take bribe and try his best to help his current client and trust them. Dude play by the books and doesn't come off aggressive, he lose, he says gg. Underrated? Definitely!

I don't understand the video because I am Spanish but, really? Winston Payne is the worst prosecutor of the game, his witness are more intelligent and save him ocassionally. He couldn't beat Phoenix when he was rookie neither he had lost his memory. I'd like a spinoff with Payne before the defeat against Mia, but since that he is a horrible prosecutor
