Four students from Surat, India, made a robot that can walk like a human and even pull rickshaws, a passenger cart used for transportation.

It took them 25 days and thousands of dollars to build the robot. Student Maurya Shivam says the robot is powered by a battery and can be recharged.

"This is our prototype which we have tested on the road. And this is not completed yet, work still remains to be done on its leg, hand, head and face," said Shivam. "We have tried to create it as same as how a normal human walks tells another student."

For a concept technology demonstrator, this is fantastic because Wheeled robot are easier to make, and balance while they move.

This will be helpful for "Zoo and Safari" or "Amusement park theme" . Creative and well balanced.❤

Boss: Why were you late for work?
Employee: The robot wouldn't walk any faster.

What blows my mind is that this was done by students in just a couple of weeks with a budget of 300 dollars.
I know cost of living in India is cheaper but still from a world point of view it is excellent. 🙌

This robot could be used in hospitals for pulling patients seated on wheelchair and also in small factories 😎

This video is giving incomplete information.. He was just testing out his prototype and someone made a video and uploaded it.. He is not funded by anyone so this boy is using his own little pocket money.

Even Indian news media's didn't cover it but USA does. This is why America is growing. They appreciate talented people.

It's a cool invention, but more needs to be done to build powerful robots. There is more talented people in India, but they need more engineering and other things to do better research and development in order to build sophisticated robots.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍.

So cool, seems like India has started investing in research and products.

The idea must have come from the fact that hand pulled rickshaws exist in India even today. But many think it is some kind of human rights violation so it is discouraged. Good project.
