These examples are great. For example adding or removing strain is a fast and easy way to explain an advantage or threat. Finding useful items is another way to do that. However this freedom can lead to players giving too much to the characters which may make the game significantly easier. I think a grooup with a novice or someone without prior experience playing as GM would have these problems. On the other hand, not having a heaviliy scripted scenario adds to the replayability. Great video.

Awesome Robert! I just started learning this game myself and will be a GM for the very first time on any RPG. I start hosting the game next week with 4 PC's. Glad you did an overview and video, it will help! Wish me luck!

This box set is great for new RPG players or Players who have never played RPG's. Just like the red box. I have been playing RPG's on and off since the early 90's.I really enjoy this system I play this with my wife and 11, 17 year old kids and they love it. (I have also purchased all the other goodies and are very much worth the money great quality.

you can also give an advantage to another play to help their dice pool with a boost (blue) die

I'm still trying to wrap my head around making a character properly, the whole obligation and motivation thing is kind of throwing me for a loop. I'll try again tomorrow or some other day.

Im liking the dice as story telling aids. I suppose id interpret the droids triumph as: those at the bar and the bar tender stop you to ask what are you doing. And if you tell them they are whole heartedly on your side and help concel you.
 I have to say Pathfinders beginner box looks better as a beginner box game. I think this game has easier character creation and therefore id just make an easy adventure with the core rulebook instead of buying this beginner set.

I bought this beginners' box last year, and when I saw there were no rules for character creation, I put it away. Not interested at all in playing with premade characters.
