I know you don’t like using a brush but i promise if you use a brush with this foundation you will get great coverage with one to two layers. I struggle with acne as well, been using proactive for years but it’s just not working anymore, I’m trying a new more simple skin care regimen, so let’s hope it works. And I’ve been trying to find a good foundation for two years, I’ve tried several high end and drug store brands, I’ve had good luck with some but there were still one or two issues with them, my go to foundations were jouer cosmetics foundation and urban decay all nighter, both around $40, until I found this one, which where I’m at costs almost $15 instead of $13, still a great price. I always do research and look at reviews before I buy a foundation because of my sensitive, dry, acne prone skin, but when I went to Wal-Mart to get a few things I seen this foundation, I know I had great luck with several of physician formulas products but I would still never just pick up a random foundation, but I did, I didn’t even fully check to see if it was my shade. When I tried it I was completely shocked, the color matched perfect, the application was flawless, blended great, it wasn’t too dry or too dewy, it looked like skin, not cakey, it took one layer, it didn’t separate (even on my forehead where foundation always separates, it didn’t crease (I did use setting/translucent powder), it didn’t exaggerate my pores, it felt like nothing was on my face, I mean it was amazing for me. I was so shocked, I thought my skin was just no good for any foundation. I’m very happy with this, especially since it’s not that expensive. I actually really like the wand applicator as well. I’ve had great luck with their other products like their butter bronzer, butter blush, argan oil, 24 karat gold serum, and their lip treatment chapstick (it works amazingly!). I plan on trying more of their products. Anyway sorry for the long comment lol, but I really suggest using a brush for application! Also, you should try their 24 karat gold collagen serum as a primer for this foundation, it has that tacky feel as well and goes great with each other. Also, I subscribed! 😊

I picked up their primer called spot light it’s supposed to give a dewy look it’s ok I guess the more yu rub it in the dewiness goes away ... I didn’t get the foundation cse I cldnt find my color but it looks really good on yu An lasted a long time !!! Thanks for sharing

I'd give the flat top brush a try sometimes it applies glowy foundations better for me

I don’t think you should review foundations with a sponge since it soaks in a lot of the product
