Sadly they are being removed. There used to be one near my university, then it got removed when they built a mall there😭 a lot of ancient style buildings and pedagogy(I think that's what they are called) are being removed for modern style/western style buildings. So sad.

Yes, there was once such a hat with a dragon at the top. Such decoration was later transmitted to Japan in a court dance known as Gagaku(雅楽). This Tang dynasty dance survived to this date in Japan with the performers dress in stylized Chinese dress of that period. The accompanying musicians also dressed in Tang dynasty court's dress using Chinese musical instruments.

Honestly I adore traditional Chinese Hanfu, but especially on men. It makes men and women look ethereal ✨️ but omg that man is so beautiful, I love how they styled their hair and accessorized ❤
