How in the world does someone justify cutting the budget to the fire department IN CALIFORNIA, of all places? That is just a wild call.

Kagen is becoming a better reporter than all the news networks. 😂

Imagine paying all that money in rent and taxes and cost of living just for your government to not pay the firefighters and let your home burn down

›get duped into buying Australian eucalyptus trees
>plant thousands of acres
›Australians forget to mention it takes at least 100 years for the trees to mature
>thousands of investors go broke
>2017
>100 years later eucalyptus trees have spread everywhere and have finally matured
›Australians also forgot to mention the trees produce a highly flammable toxic oil that builds up in the tree
›california burns down
Edit: living with eucalypts and conifers requires good Forrest maintenance regular burn offs from late autumn to early spring to clear the ground of a fuel source, when you don’t do this you get Black Saturday(180 deaths), the 2018 & 2020 cali fires (103 & 33 deaths), Black Summer(479 deaths) and what we have here

Why do mayors and city council people HAVE to travel overseas for city/county business? Wth?

Explain to me why any U.S. mayor should be visiting any other country? You signed up for a job, you can vacation abroad when your term is over, sweetie.

CA spends about $8 a year per an acre of land in fire prevention. Collects $890 per acre in property tax...

Its 100% missmanagement from politicians. I used to live in CA and in populated area fringes, the government doesn't clear the fuel off the ground.

My buddy lives in the Hills. I told him to get packing last night and he was “we are fine”….bro…not fine. This is insane

Dude, this is the best reporting yet, thank you. This incompetent L.A. mayor should resign immediately.

Ya know Kagan, I am really glad that the mainstream media sh!t the bed. The result has been that home grown journalists like you have had a chance to shine, and shine you do. I don't recall any of the mainstream drongoes being able to handle news, current affairs and general interest stories, all out of the same office, and in a balanced, professional and courteous manner like you do. Hats off to ya mate.

A video was posted a week ago of a kid chasing people racing down the hills because they started a fire. He raced back up to warn people and within 10 minutes I grew massively wouldn’t be surprised if this is what started this fire

As a California, I am so disgusted right now. We pay the highest taxes, but our public services cannot provide water to the firefighters 🤬

I can’t imagine calling 911 and watching the firefighters watch my house burn up because they don’t have water🤬

By the way, respect for our public service members that are out there trying to contain this. Praying for everyone

But I do feel like some of this could’ve been prevented
