I've been looking for a way to take the mono instruments in my dawless rig and add automated panning (ie stereo) effects in real time. The only way I've been aware of doing this is in post production with software, or high end mixing boards, which are way more kit than I need. So the Quasar seems to fit my needs because it does automated panning with mono signals in a small hardware module in real time. I don't want to make music exclusively for headphone listening, but what I'm hearing here sounds fine on good speakers. I know I can't appreciate the full 3D dynamism without headphones, but at least it doesn't sound _bad_ on speakers.
