VW MK6 GTI Resonator Delete Sound (vs. Stock)

Doing a resonator delete is one of the easiest ways to gain an aggressive sound out of your MK6 GTI 2.0T TSI. Our resonator delete kit makes the job quick and easy to do yourself at home.

We removed the heavy and restrictive factory resonator and replaced it with our high flow, straight-through exhaust section. This helped us get a deeper exhaust note in a simple, cost effective way without replacing the entire exhaust system or modifying the catalytic converters. The resonator delete creates an audible increase in exhaust sound, without adding significant drone at cruising speeds.

Figured I'd give an update. Had this res delete for about a month or so now and I absolutely love it. I may eventually go for the muffler delete to wrap it up with some more tone and loud as I don't plan on big modifications really in the future for a DP. As far as daily driving and sound it's soooo good compared to stock. You can get the classic vw "wump" noise if you get into throttle and let off around 3k, it's quiet enough when cruising and even at full throttle it's not excessive but has a very nice tone around 2k rpm. For $150 two cuts and maybe a half hour of my time I am very happy. Props ECS🤙🔥

I’m thinking of deleting the two mufflers and putting on a magnaflow sport muffler with fart can. Have a 1.8t. Think that will sound good? With the stock resonator in? Should I take the resonator out too if I’m putting in the sport muffler?
