Tuesday Tips Ep. 2: Inserting edges

I forgot to talk too much about applications in the video. Essentially the point of this of this video is to show you the 4 primary ways to insert edges, and that you should be using the "idea" insertion every time. This will vary based on orientation of the cube and which other edges are in partially solved states. Using some basic practice and critical thinking you should be able to figure these out yourself.

Please help, I'm currently learning 5x5 and I recognize edge placement using matching or unmatching stickers. Is it better to recognize edges using placement i.e. top or bottom relative to a solved edge?

I guess the realisation that you should always use R U' R' for that case should have tipped us off that maybe L' U L is the best one to use, or maybe just use R U' R' but put it in different places...

You can also rotate so that the R face becomes the F face (I don’t know if it’s a y or y’, so someone please tell me), and then insert it on the left, or the right of the other edge.

I put a comment on your last video. I didn't really explain that well. I was wondering what are you and Felix doing when after you've done your centers and 4 edges on top and bottom you turn the cube where the white and yellow are on the right and left side and you pair your last edges like that. I want to learn that really bad. If somebody that knows sees this let me know please.

Not having centers solved tilts me, even though it's faster to keep them unsolved
