Thank you so much for this, you are really good at teaching this stuff by the way! As a musican of 13 years or so, this is my first day in virtuoso and I am totally dumbfounded. This is so cool.

The metronome I mention at 3:12 is now built-into the game and is available on the track settings panel

I just bought it! Gonna try to use a mic to record guitar, harmonica and vocals. Can I loop over a few layers using the mic.

Very informational video for us music making beginners. I’ve come back to this video multiple times for different things I’ve noticed that weren’t necessary pointed out in the video, and it’d be really cool if you could at time stamps, where you mark what you are currently teaching at that time. I Appreciate your teaching style! Thanks!

It’s not as intricate as some of the top tier programs out there for making music obviously but, this app is amazing. It just streamlines the process and makes it so organic. The amount of work you could produce here is for $20 is awesome. I’m just getting to know it so I didn’t actually realize how this all worked until watching this video.

This is very solid, really nice work. One minor comment for consideration - maybe it is just me, but after you record a new part maybe let it play out at least once with the whole song before cutting into the next thing. So that the viewer can keep up with how the whole picture looks :) You do a lot of small cuts in the video, and that is fine, but I'd say at least let it play out uninterrupted once after new thing was added so that audience can understand whar you did better and stay in touch with the whole song :)

I'd like to point out that my description of inversion is inaccurate and it's a much more in-depth thing than "just moving one of the notes". Trying to properly describe them would take half of the video, so I decided to go for this ugly simplification. My apologies if I bamboozled you with it.

Would like to know more about the scales and how to set up for the very common 1564 ie C G Am F chord progression.

When you're so early the quality is "unavailable" 😭😭😭. But great tutorial nonetheless. Thanks to you, I hope to see more people create full tracks. THE COMMUNITY IS RISING AND IM EXCITED!

So I labeled my notes differently, let me know if this makes sense to any of you, because you're labeling of the notes kinda confused me.

On the Board: from left to right

1A1 = Top left front note. Moving to the right is 1A2, then 1A3 and so forth.

Moving down from 1A1, are 1B1, 1C1, 1D1 and so forth.

Moving back from 1A1, are 2A1, 3A1 and so forth. And so to with 1B1 is followed by 2B1, 3B1 and so forth.

Additional notes with controller buttons X, A, BL1/BR1, and BL2/BR2 are assigned accordingly:
T = X, A (top / thumb buttons)
F = B2 (front buttons)
S = B1 (side buttons)

So the notes would look like:

1A1(T), 1A1(F), and 1A1(S)

I have tried a few different methods and this so far works the best for me, when I want to write down my notes played.

How is the clarity with mic recording for lyrics? Also can you use a few channels for this for adlibs and such?

Great tutorial. I'd love to see what other songs you make. I hope they add less synth-y instrument packs or free updates in the future. I was surprised to have gotten along starting songs of my own, your video explains the basics very well. I'd like to see more advanced tutorials and maybe even see you produce whole/final versions of songs in the future. Bravo!
