Saw The First Omen, found out it was a prequel, went and saw The Omen (non-remake), very good so far, pulled up Damien: Omen 2 on Hulu, heard this theme in the opening scene and knew immediately I wouldn't be disappointed. I'm not all that into films from half a century ago, but this franchise has piqued my interest as a horror fan. What a great score!

Yes, bonechillign and frightening. The way Damien walked towards the reporter was frightening. Damien had an assertiveness that Mark didn't have. He doesn't have a drop of Thorn Blood but he owns it like a Thorn.

Also Sylvia Sydney who played Aunt Marion also was in the TV Movie and Early Frost where she finds out her Grandson Michael has AIDS. It was broadcasted in 1985 and it was considered to be a very controversial movie. Hard to believe that it's been 40 years since Rock Hudson died. Also Lucas Donat who played Mark is the son of Miss Michael Learned formerly Olivia Walton of The Waltons.

Loved the score for the sequel. This sounded somewhat different from the version in the actual film's opening. The twang used here from a Jew's Harp was much different from the repetitive 'whacking' or 'smacking' sound effect used in the main titles of the final film, for those who know what I mean, sounded even darker. Not too sure what instrument was used for that distinctive sound for those who have heard the main titles of the film, not the album.
Loved the scores for the trilogy by Jerry Goldsmith, absolutely phenomenonal and creepy to this day.
