It's a shock to the system when these songs first start, they are that good. The quality is unbelievable. Australian music was so outstanding in the 70s & 80s. A million memories, fun times!

Their earliest stuff still kicks major ass after more than 30 years.

I listen to this when I wanna just go back to the time when the world and life was simple and straightforward. Now it's too damned complicated.

It could easily be argued that INXS' Underneath The Colours is their best album ever. And that's taking NOTHING away from the next four incredible albums, up to, and including, Kick. Just To Learn Again from UTC is as epic of a song that's ever been produced. This is music, true.

This is a well-written song with so much groove--just listen to the bass line. I had the opportunity to talk music with these gents and get to know them some. I did not know them while Michael was still alive but a friend of mine did--which is how I met them. Andrew seemed ashamed of these early albums. He told me they should've never been released. Needless to say, I was stunned. Those early albums sampled all of the wonderful music that existed then. SKA, pop, rock, punk--it was all there, and delightfully so. Jon, the drummer, was a pleasant conversationalist indeed. He seemed to enjoy all the same music as my friends and I. Of course, that has to do with being the same age. Any time I hear really vintage INXS, I stop and listen closely and enjoy the uniqueness of their early work. As young people, we were sad to have to share the band with a broader audience once Listen Like Thieves was released. Before that album, and for a very long time, INXS seemed like our little secret. Shabooh Shoobah is my favorite INXS album. To me it is nearly perfect.

This music video really shows what INXS were at their core (at least what they initially were) which was 6 friends (brothers) from the north shores of Sydney who just wanted to play music and have fun
This is my favourite song of theirs and I wish the band performed it more and I wish it had as much recognition as other songs

INXS extraordinary group from Australia, so undervalued in the 90s and 80s, one of my best-loved pieces of them. they were just 20-24 years of age and already created such fine music. INXS and michael hutchence never ever unremembered

Transported back to my old bedroom growing up in the 80's....listening to this on my headphones...waiting for everyone else in the house to fall asleep so i could sneak out the window to meet my friends in the park. INXS was my mantra. <3

To me, this is the first track that hints of a sound that would define them during that early 80s period....culminating in Shabooh Shoobah and The Swing, my two favorite INXS albums.

What is amazing is they filmed this at my local beach where I grew up not 5 mins from my house ... I had friends who lived in the houses along the beach in the background. Spit Bridge is just behind them ...
