As an Indian, and as a Christian, I really appreciate the gesture of that moment of prayer/silence in front of Mt. Mary. This is the kind of India I was taught about in school and I'm glad that there still are people like these two. We would light diyas and burst crackers on Diwali, play holi with my hindu friends, visit the puja pandals during durga puja and go for iftar. Our parents never scolded us for for doing all that.
