Enjoy rare footage from the first of two back to back Toronto shows on Rush's 1990 Presto tour, upgraded from the original master source using state of the art AI tools. The following remastering work was performed by yours truly:

1. Stabilized any shaking, cleaned up noise and grain
2. Video upscaled to "HD" using machine learning (Obviously to a limited extent when working with such low res source material)
3. Audio beefed up in FL studio, also to a limited extend, we are working with 1990 or older camcorder audio here. I usually don't upload audience shot footage but this was exceptional compared to what else is out there.
4. Video and audio rendered in 1080p with audio at 512kb/s quality

I tried to upconvert this one to 60fps as well but was running in to sync issues and I didn't want to put another couple days in to resolving that, so I left it at it's original 30fps which is good enough for a bootleg IMO.

There was a time when I would say to myself "I only have to live until this concert and I will be fully satisfied" each time I got tickets to a show. That's how much I enjoyed the experience of a live RUSH performance. Those days are regrettably gone. Seeing footage like this brings me a certain amount of joy that, while not replacing the live experience, stirs the excitement and happiness once felt when seeing these three exceptional artists perform live.

Nothing like some live Rush to start the day.

Peart fkng shredding, seen him a few times in the 80s 90s and 2000s. Best drummer I've seen and I've seen 100s of metal n rock shows.

WOW great job! So many stick tosses that the camera guy missed...that solo was musical hyperkinetic marathon of drums! Peart always prided himself in being in the best athletic shape... saw him so many times and I know all of his stick tosses by heart!

OMG!!! I was at that concert. 😳😃 I think about it often but never knew there was a video clip for it. I remember going with my friend the night of the concert to the Maple Leaf Gardens box office at last minute looking for tickets and they gave us two tickets for stage left seats and we were all alone but sitting behind a group of people who we found out after the show were friends and family of the band!! You can’t make that shit up! 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for this video man!!!!

I was at the opening night of the tour in Greenville, SC. General admission in a fairly small basketball auditorium. We camped over night and ended up on the front row, only to have to hop over the barricade and go find a seat because of the crush of the crowd. But we found excellent seats. It was a great show.

I don't usually work on audience filmed bootleg videos without exceptional audio but the overall quality here was too good not to work on, after all the guy that filmed this was camped out inside an air duct and got a beautiful unobstructed view of the show that's in the top 1% of audience shot bootlegs i've seen. That coupled with the fact that the second anniversary of Neil's passing is this week and there is just not a lot of footage of him available in what I consider the physical peak of his drumming (speed and power wise). I wanted to upload something special in his honor, and I think many will agree this was one of his most fantastic solos, in front of the hometown crowd. I look forward to the day that more pro-shot footage of this era (especially Roll The Bones tour footage) comes out, because I know it exists.

They had brought this song back for this tour after omitting it through most of the '80's (a truanced version in medley form on the 'Signals' Tour). I remember seeing this at the Meadowlands arena and my mind being absolutely blown when they did this.

If you know anything about Neil's time with Freddy Gruber, you can see how much Neil is playing "into" the drums here (before Freddy). This is iconic drumming but he became much better at using the bounce and energy of the sticks, where he is still pounding the drumheads into submission here. It's still cool as shit.
