2023 COVID Vaccine - Worth It For The Young And Healthy?

A more nuanced look at the risks/benefits of the new 2023 COVID vaccination. This may be a more controversial video for this channel, but instead of just accepting the CDC recommendations and guidelines without question, it is always a good practice to take a closer look into the evidence yourself. Here's my assessment of the recommendation and whether or not I will be getting a COVID vaccination this year (as someone who's already gotten the first 2 shots and booster, but declined the bivalent booster last year). Hope this helps you make your decision as well!

Hi Conan, I loved your video a always! Even though I don't understand most of them I find your presentation so engaging. Can you make a guide for pre-med students and how to succeed in their undergrad classes?

Would love to see your reaction to Dr. Vinay Prasad's videos/written pieces on the COVID vaccine! But I do understand reaction videos may shift the focus towards drama.

Hi Conan, just checking in with you. Are you still at UCD hospital? Saw that you pass the Internal Med Board, congrats!

Hey Conan, thanks for the video as always.
As a medical student from germany I have to ask a question not really related to the video, but to the hospital scrubs in the states.
Everytime I go on instagram and I see reels of nurses or MDs from the US, they seem to wear there scrubs before they even leave the house. Sitting in the car with them etc.
How does this work? In germany you are expected to only dress at the hospital and basically don't bring your scrubs home, rather they get cleaned at the hospital itself.

What am I missing?

Hey Conan,

Your content is excellent! Really appreciate it as I’m navigating intern year.

I was wondering if I could make a video request — what is your process on precharting in the outpatient setting? My patients tend to be on the older side and come to clinic with multiple comorbidities and acute concerns. They’re often seeing several specialists already, some with information scattered in outside records. There’s usually no chief complaint written ahead of time for the visit and so I’m left guessing and trying to predict ahead of time (probably a mistake). I will often attempt to pre-write my note as I pre-chart, but it’s very time consuming.

How do you/did you pre-chart for a full day of outpatient clinic? How do you ensure you get done with their notes in a time efficient manner?

Thank you,

Slow Intern 🙏🏼

I help people file for social security disability and 99% of the people I helped has stage 4 cancer and 99% of them have had all of their booster shots.

The answer is no. You don’t need to get so extra focusing on micro details you’re skeptical about yet you still cant fathom the idea that these shots are just bs pushed out for money

Should you get adrenal glands? Obviously the answer is yes.

No medical person I’ve had contact with has recommended any further vaccination or booster. I have had 4 AstraZeneca vaccinations as with my research was the safest option. Here in Australia that is no longer available so I will not have any further vaccinations. At least a dozen people per day here in a large regional town are suffering heart complication symptoms according to local paramedics. Regional hospitals are pushed to the limit with otherwise healthy people with one thing in common. Pfizer. MRNA vaccines that interact at the cellular level are a huge problem here. The affected ages primarily are teenagers through to people, mainly males, in their mid 40s. Incidentally this is the age range that is most physically active. Do you have a comment on that?
