I'm an Aussie Anglo-Scot and in my youth/uni i loved my art history esp the European Renaissance and have long sought to understand the Ancients, near Ancients and deep ones alike. I'm into that which presaged the Sumerians and set the scene for all the derivatives! So much came from those excellent Islamic scholars. I 'love' Averroes (Ibn Rusd.) He was/is so astute, sensitive, firm and gentle and keenly balanced especially clearly so in his understanding of the non-duality of gender. Hip hip hooray! There were so many fine chaps in all the traditions. Nuance nuance nuance! THANK YOU FOR YOU SUPERB VIDEO FORMAT AND CONTENT.

Ibn rushd was still very influential in the islamicate world as a scholar of jurisprudence. His bidayatul mujthahid was a standard text to many of the usulul fiqh students in many madrasas across the eastern World if I'm not mistaken.
