As long as it's repairable I see it as a win. Even if the paper came off you could always redo it with a new design or paint the entire thing in a super durable paint.

There is a version of Mod Podge called “Hard Coat” that is specifically for furniture. It works the exact same way and really provides a nice seal. I would recommend that next time!

Maybe a out door water proof varnish would hold up a little better. I use it all the time of different projects.
It has to dry for a few days but it is really tough layer. The varnishes are non yellowing too.

For Uk peeps... rather than shelling out on expensive Modge Podge, just use PVA glue! Modge Podge is just the US brand name for PVA glue. Save yourself a fortune 😊

I like it. It’s something you see everyday in a major room. It’s one thing if it’s just in the kids room and they can have their primary colors. But I love how this is a happy medium of being able to have a happy home with kids and still match your aesthetic. I mean it’s a pretty white and blue and has flowers. It give off airy, light and happy. It’s not like it’s one of those completely beige and bleak homes.

If you keep this tower for a while beware yellowing with age depending on the mod podge, but it turned out adorable!! I love it!!
