Thanks for the video. Tetris Tengen has inspired me to code a coop multiplayer Tetris game that can have "any" number of players. It currently works, but with no network code and only keyboard controls (which I made a menu to setup custom controls). It's been fun to show people at get togethers and I'm excited to get controllers implemented as well. It's free and open source on GitHub for anyone interested. It's called Rustrisn-t currently, but eventually will be called Tetrisn-t (the first version was called Tetrisn-t and I rewrote it in Rust because the code got too annoying to deal with for the first one). All the mechanics are very similar to NES Tetris since I've spent about 800-1000 hours playing that one over the last 4 or so years and got a 811k score as my best. Would be fun to go back and max out sometime, but for now, I'm just coding away at my own Tetris game.

It is one of, if not my favorite version of Tetris to play for all of the reasons you've stated.

My favourite of the ones I’ve played is Tengen Tetris because of the co-op mode. Me and my brothers have played it a lot, vs mode too.

Still, the music of the GB version is so iconic that it stays one of my very favourite versions. Used to enjoy the DOS version also.

Great Idea to make a Top "Tetris" Video. My favorite two Tetris Games are the one for "Game Boy" and "Tetris World" for the PlayStation 2. Awesome ;-)

The DS version is a cracking version of the game so it's no surprise it made the top of the list.

I remember really liking Tetris DX on the GBC as it was that next level handheld Tetris experience after the GB version and blew me away at the time. I also bought it at launch with my GBC so played it to death. I also like Tetris 2 & Bombliss on the SFC. Bombliss is a great game and well worth a play.

Digital Foundary did a great Tetris list not that long ago that's worth a watch along with the Gaming Historians story of Tetris.

You messed one TETRIS on PS1 can play CO-OP 1 VS 1 is the one my favorites TETRIS ever & I guess is the best

C64 version is the GOAT and the music is incredible.

Couple of things about the chapters
Tetris DS is misspelt as Tetris DF and Tetris Gameboy is in the Tetris NES section
Those are tiny nitpicks though, great video!

I believe the NES and Famicom version are actually two completely different games. Bulletproof Software actually made the Famicom version but from research they didn't make the NES version.

I remember when I bought switch and I’ve sucked at every game while playing against my boyfriend and friends. And then I saw puyo puyo Tetris on e-shop. Nobody could beat me. I felt like on top of the world; finally I could show my epic gamer moves 😂
