Thank you for this video. I am better understanding some things as to what my mom has been going through the past 3 years with dementia.
It's hard watching mom go through this. She has been in a home for close to two years as caring for her became too much because my dad started to need my help as well.
No one can understand what us family members go through caring for a loved one unless they have been in our shoes.
It not only takes a physical toll on us caregivers, but an emotional one as well. We need to make sure we take care of ourselves so we can continue caring for our loved one(s).
Anyone who may be struggling with the decision to move their loved one into a home or facility, I encourage you to do so if caring for them has become more than you can handle. You will know when the time is right. I did and though it's hard having mom in a home, I had no choice, otherwise I may be very ill.
I had to think of my physical, mental and emotional health as well as start caring for my dad.
🙏 for all who care for a loved one. We can make it through

Excelente Dr. Tam. Thank you for your state of the art information and education. My husband was living with MCI for 3 years when diagnosed with Lung cancer, he choose surgery and right after that his diagnosis became Alzheimer’s. 2 years later he was diagnosed with CLL leukemia. The hematologist oncologist insisted he should have Chemotherapy, very wrong decision for someone with AD. Less Youthan a year and a half, my husband is in End stage Alzheimer’s
I am beyond devastated. I wish I could have find you before those decimos. It’s too late for my husband but it’s never too late for learning. Knowledge is power. Thank you so much. I enjoy your lectures. Amazing!

Thank you! My LO has a master’s degree and could test well, delaying his diagnosis for years. Family and friends knew something was wrong, but upon testing at the physicians office, he blew it out of the water.
