This movie really sucks compared to the book…
Bernard was NOT an exemplary alpha, instead his egg had an error in it that caused him to be one of the only people in the society that was unwilling to take the soma pills. Bernard wanted a monogamous relationship before he even learned about the savages.
And it does not explain any of the cultural struggles John faced as he never quite fit in with the Savages or the Upperclass people. He was locked up before he could cause mass disruption to the society. :/ it’s a shame how a movie can ruin such good source material.
