Thank you so much for having me on for the interview! I truly appreciate the care you took in including the citations I referenced, especially showing the correct year on one of them. It’s so important to be precise when engaging in discussions like this.

There’s so much more that could be said, but with the limited time we had, I couldn’t touch on everything. I do want to add a few important sentiments for anyone watching. Please, if you encounter a Jehovah’s Witness, treat them with love and respect. Most of them are unaware of the problematic elements within the religion, which are perpetuated by its leadership. They have not been equipped to deconstruct or critically examine what they’ve been taught, as their publications portray independent and critical thinking as dangerous and to be avoided. The average member is doing the best they can with the tools they’ve been given, so extend to them the same grace and kindness you would to anyone else.

I also want to emphasize that the cycle of shame, guilt, and shunning embedded in JW doctrine and culture can be broken. My wife and I, for instance, experience shunning from our JW relatives, but this is not a pattern we will ever pass down to our children. They will never have to worry about being cut off from us if they choose a different path in life. We can love them unconditionally, putting that love above loyalty to a man-made organization.

To anyone who is PIMQ or PIMO, I want you to know that the power to break free from the generational trauma caused by the Watchtower’s ever-changing rules and practices lies with you. It can end with you, and a different kind of future—one rooted in love and grace—is possible.

Thanks greatly for this fine interview. I was an elder for almost 4 decades. The organisation's disdain for Higher education became so unbearable and disgusting for my family. Many of my friends that had children in colleges were penalized with disgraceful step downs as elders, ministerial servants, pioneers, etc. So many of them had since left.Yet these hypocritical clowns called GB spend our donations to sponsor their men to study law in various colleges in US. Their new lawyers are sent to defend the organisation's horrendous safeguarding of child sex Abusers from within. What a deplorably disgusting organisation it is!

I was one who turned against God after I woke up. I personally talked to Fred Frantz personally in 1973 and told him that the 1975 date was wrong. That led to being shunned and then leaving the organization. It is a long story but came back to a relationship with Jesus Christ through the faith of a 14 year old girl, Rachel Scott as she stood for her faith at Columbine H.S. I went back and started at the beginning with Jesus and who he was " a Jew" and God who became flesh, to show us how to live. I learned much about the Jewish side of Jesus and now see Him more as ever in my Bible. Now I speak in many different churches about my experience as a Jehovah Witness. Also mix in the Jewish Jesus . Playing music and writing songs in a spiritual vain has helped in talking to many people about my experiences. Thank you for this interview. You will help many people.

I am a born in JW. A few months ago
I made the mistake of telling my wife my findings and explained my doubts to her regarding the organization. She immediately turned on me and demanded a divorce. She told me that if i wasn’t in this all the way then she didn’t want to stay with me.
We went to couples therapy for months with no hope to save our marriage. We had been together for 6 years. We met in the kingdom hall.
I told her i would continue to support her by attending the meetings and give her all the time she needed but she couldn’t see me the same anymore and said our marriage was over. I love my wife and couldn’t believe how quickly she cut me off like I was nothing.
This religion is so vile. Any love within it is 100% conditional. The second you’re no longer with the program, you’re expelled no matter who you are.

Found this video and I thought about it because of the length of the video because I’m at work and am in my lunchtime. But I decided to listen.
Within 10 mins in it! I was amazed! Love the interview! I relate with all spoken here. My husband and I woke up too almost together. I woke up in 2018 and my husband in 2020.

We have decided to read the Bible, believe in Jesus and our Heavenly Father. We respect others, stopped the criticizing others on their life styles that we did so many times as JWs, we believe in charity and try to be better persons everyday umong other things we have adapted.
