For the record, I worked as local crew for Stereo MCs in Portsmouth in 93 (?). Great live gig - one of the best - and after the gig they all got stuck in to lugging their own gear to their van. And gave us beers. At the height of their popularity. Highest Respect Stereo MCs. Groovy and of the people.

I’m a drummer who remembers sound checking for a festival in 90s UK. The sound engineer banged ‘connected’ on full blast to test the P.A. That bass! We all jumped off stage and started buggin out to it. We turned round and 1000s of festival goers decided to join in. The sound engineer killed the track halfway through because we had to sound check. We all refused to sound check until the the track had finished. He conceded. Needless to say we were late for our performance. Festival organisers weren’t too happy. But 1000s if festival goers were introduced to an awesome track by a great band. Happy days indeed! Love the Stereo MCs. X

Hearing this 30 year old song pop up on Spotify while high at 2 in the morning is definitely an experience. I first thought it might of been a year or two old, but then I saw 92 on the album release, was definitely shocked
