If u didn't realise... there were water droplets falling on Shiv Ling (holy stone of Lord Shiva). When the droplets stopped, he realised that it was time for the final battle.

He is said to wander the Earth in suffering, searching for death every moment, but never dying. At the end of Kali Yuga, Ashwathama will meet Sri Kalki, the tenth and final avatar of Lord Vishnu

So In Mahabharata Ashwatthama is Guru Dronacharya's son. He is an avatar of one of the 11 rudras. He was also born with a gemstone, Mani on his forehead. This stone gives him power over all living beings below humans, protects him from hunger, thirst, fatigue, old age, diseases, weapons, and deities, and makes him almost invincible and immortal. It is also said to protect him from demons and spirits.

Guru Dronacharya was the teacher of The Pandavas and The Kauravas. He and Ashwatthama fought in the battal from the Kaurava's side. Dronacharya had no other choice but to fight from the Kaurava side. On the other hand Ashwatthama was fighting for Kauravas because he wants power After getting defeated by The Pandavas in the war of Kurukshetra, Duryodhan, the eldest of the Kauravas asked his friend
Ashwatthama to seek revenge (or maybe Ashwatthama just wanted to seek revenge for his friend's and father's death, I am not sur about this part. Anyway)

So, Ashwatthama had a boon that he can summon the Bramhastra. After killing the son of the Pandavas. He went for their grandson, the successor of pandavas who is left and btw the successor, Parikshit was still in the womb of his mother. Ashwatthama then summoned the Brahmastra to kill the pandavas. Krishna, the 8th Avatar of Vishnu told Arjuna, one of the five Pandava brothers to summon his own Bramhastra, A sage Vyasa then intervenes and asked both the warriors to call back their Bamhastras as the clash of the will destroy the world. Arjuna then calls his waepon back. Ashwatthama however not knowing how to call bramhastra back, redirects it to the womb of Uttara, the mother of Parikshit, to kill him and tried to fullfill his oath. Krishna then saved both the mother and the child from the efects of Bramhastra. Ashwatthama then made to surrender.

Krishna then cursed Ashwathama to roam the forests with blood and pus, and cry for death until the end of time, but death would not meet him. Krishna also made Ashwathama surrender his forehead gem.

He is now waiting for Kalki, The 10th Avatar of Vishnu. He will help Kalki to defeat Kali.

This film is not about Prabhas, Amitabh bachchan, Kamal Hassan or Deepika Padukone, it's a film for our Sanatanis, it will make Bharat proud, guys I can guarantee that this won't be like dune or Mad Max, it is definitely not another Adipurush

Just to give you guys a context and to make you able to explain to those who says that stone on forehead is copy of Vision from MCU, let me tell you that, this man Ashwatthama is one of the 7 entities that are believed to be Eternal in Hinduism.... And this guy had a discription of his looks like this from thousands of years...

Context: this man has had that stone on is forehead by birth and after the end of Mahabharat war, he was angry because his father Guru Dronacharya was killed by Arjun... So he launched Bhramhastra towards Arjun (known to be the most deadliest weapon) and in response Arjun also launches his brahmastra... But Sage Vyas told both of them to call it back... So Arjun called it back.. but Ashwatthama didn't know how to call it back... So he reduced it's intensity and diverted it to the womb of Arjun's pregnent daughter-in-law so that atleast his generations would not come.... And furious lord Krishna due to this act of Ashwatthama, destroyed the stone from the forehead of Ashwatthama and cursed him to live eternally with this pain... And he lateron also revived the child in the womb of pregnent daughter-in-law of Arjun...

And apart from Ashwatthama's this revengeful act, he is indeed a scholar and knowledgeable... At that time he might not know how to call back brahmastra but after that incident he must've learnt it..🥲

Btw, I don't know the significance of that stone on his forehead... So if anyone knows it please let me know...🙌

The kid was speaking in 6 diff languages(Telugu, tamil, kannada, malayalam, hindi & english)….he is said to be cursed to wander around with unhealing wounds but not die untill kalki comes and world ends.also they showed that the water stopped dripping on shiva lingam which makes him understand that the rivers are all dried up, according to our hindu texts kalki comes in to this world when all rivers are dry, people are dying of hunger & their is nothing left on earth but death(basically its the end of the world).
